“It did have a coherent, enticing, harmonically refined sound that produced a silky, smooth, continuous, ultimately addictive midband, and an overall effortlessness and transparency that pleased over the long term. The bottom end sounded more like tubes than solid state, and was better at reproducing subtle bass textures than ultimate weight. In that regard it reminded me of the $8000 Clearaudio Goldfinger that I wrote about in October”.
